aleksley [76]

We know that total surface area is the area of of the base + area of all the walls + area of the top

here we are working with a pyramid whose base is a square but the wall are four triangles

as triangles are connected on the top , there would be no top area ( as the top would be a point ( where all four triangles are being join )

so total area is = area of base + area of four walls ( triangles here )

What variable(s) are classified as quantitative variable(s)?
vlabodo [156]

Answer:

A variable which can can be represented in numbers is known to be a quantitative variable.

Step-by-step explanation:

A variable is described as a characteristic of an object. Their values may occur more than once for a set of data.

A variable that can be represented in numbers is known to be a quantitative variable. Arithmetic operations can also be performed on these variables i.e. after performing arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication or division, some numbers can still be obtained as the result.

Quantitative variables can also be compared with each other to obtain meaningful results. Quantitative variables are of two types – discrete and continuous.

Discrete variables have whole numbers as their values whereas continuous variables can even have values in between the whole numbers.

Examples of quantitative variables are height, weight, time in the 100-yard dash, the number of items sold to a shopper.

Find all values of θ in the interval 0° ≤ θ < 360° that satisfy the equation sin 2θ = sin θ.
kap26 [50]
Sin 2θ = sin θ
2sin θ cos θ = sin θ
2cos θ = 1
cos θ = 1/2
θ = arccos(1/2) = 60° and 300°
θ = 60° and 300°

you are buying a new printer and a new scanner for your computer and you cannot spend over $150. The printer you want costs $80.
ira [324]

It is given in the question that

You are buying a new printer and a new scanner for your computer and you cannot spend over $150. The printer you want costs $80.

Let the price of scanner be $ x .

So we have

x+ 80\leq   150

Subtracting 80 from both sides

x\leq  70

It means , the price should be not more then $70 .

Therefore in case, the price of scanner is $75, then you will not remain within your budget .
