Answer:

f(x) = 2x² + 4x - 16

= 2(x² + 2x) - 16

= 2(x² + 2(x)(1) + 1² - 1²) - 16

= 2(x + 1)² - 2 - 16

= 2(x + 1)² - 18

Vertex: (-1, -18) minimum

Second point can be the y-intercept:

(0, -16)

It should be a concave up

Choose the equation that represents a line that passes through points -3,2 and 2,1
STatiana [176]

bearing in mind that standard form for a linear equation means

• all coefficients must be integers, no fractions

• only the constant on the right-hand-side

• all variables on the left-hand-side, sorted

• "x" must not have a negative coefficient

\bf (\stackrel{x_1}{-3}~,~\stackrel{y_1}{2})\qquad (\stackrel{x_2}{2}~,~\stackrel{y_2}{1}) \\\\\\ slope = m\implies \cfrac{\stackrel{rise}{ y_2- y_1}}{\stackrel{run}{ x_2- x_1}}\implies \cfrac{1-2}{2-(-3)}\implies \cfrac{1-2}{2+3}\implies -\cfrac{1}{5} \\\\\\ \begin{array}{|c|ll} \cline{1-1} \textit{point-slope form}\\ \cline{1-1} \\ y-y_1=m(x-x_1) \\\\ \cline{1-1} \end{array}\implies y-2=-\cfrac{1}{5}[x-(-3)]\implies y-2=-\cfrac{1}{5}(x+3)

\bf y-2=-\cfrac{1}{5}x-\cfrac{3}{5}\implies y=-\cfrac{1}{5}x-\cfrac{3}{5}+2\implies y=-\cfrac{1}{5}x+\cfrac{7}{5} \\\\\\ \stackrel{\textit{multiplying both sides by }\stackrel{LCD}{5}}{5(y)=5\left( -\cfrac{1}{5}x+\cfrac{7}{5} \right)}\implies 5y=-x+7\implies \blacktriangleright x+5y=7 \blacktriangleleft

What is the formula of LSD in a cuboid?
7nadin3 [17]

Answer:  The volume of a cuboid is given by the formula V = LWH, and the surface area of a cuboid is given by the formula SA = 2lh + 2wh + 2lw where l = length, w = width, and h = height.

And i was just learning this a few days back lol

2/9 in decimal and percent form?
ipn [44]

Answer:

2.9% = 0.029 in decimal form. Percent means 'per 100'. So, 2.9% means 2.9 per 100 or simply 2.9/100. If you divide 2.9 by 100, you'll get 0.029

I need help answering questions like this can someone help
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

300 in.³

Step-by-step explanation:

We find the volume of 1 prism and multiply it by 2.

V = BH

where V = volume of prism, B = area of the base of the prism, H = height of the prism

V = ½bh × H

V = ½(5 in.)(6 in.) × 10 in.

V = 150 in.³

That is the volume of one triangular prism. Now we multiply it by 2.

volume = 2 × 150 in.³ = 300 in.³
