The Declaration of Independence included a list of grievances in order to show the world why the American colonists were breaking away from Great Britain. Within this list of grievances, the American colonists discussed several different topics including no taxation without representation.
After the French and Indian War, the British government turned to the colonies for revenue to help pay off their debt. This was considered unfair to the colonists, as they had no representation in the British parliament (aka the people passing the taxes). This was one of several disagreements that ultimately resulted in the American Revolution.
The war cost more than 2 million lives and ruined the economy of Korea for twenty years. It also had implications for a wider conflict, the Cold War. The main protagonists of that political, economic, military and ideological contest, the Soviet Union And the United States of America, intervened in the Korean War. The Soviet Union and its ally China backed North Korea, while the United States gathered an alliance under the auspices of the United Nations (UN) to support the south

Most Americans have the opportunity to vote in multiple (three or four) elections each year.
Americans have numerous chances to vote yearly. Here are some things that they can vote on:
A) Local laws- Such as a ballot initiative.
B) Local officials- This can include a Mayor, council, etc.
C) Primaries- These help to determine the candidate for a particular party for a specific office.
D) Congress members- This can include Senators or members of the House of Representatives.
E) State officials- Such as the Governor or representatives from their respective district.
