Something quick I just wrote down, you can use it as a draft or something. I don't know it it is all completely accurate, it's just from memory. :/

After the fall of Rome, Western Europe went through issues involving the law, churches, and royalty/leaders. The churches were pretty much in charge of everything, if someone wanted to own land or decide on something, they would go to the priest. There were also the nobles, who were pretty much above the law due to their status, the nobles (lords and ladies) would own large areas of land and higher peasants/commoners to do their work. Peasants would get paid little and would work for hours in a day. In 1219, the last of the Christian cities fell under Muslim rule after a war for the Holy Land. Many centuries later, Henry II took the throne, when he died in a crusade his brother, Richard took over. Then the Magana Carta came into play, and the king couldn’t just do anything he wanted. The Churches were able to choose their own bishops, the great nobles had right, and wouldn’t be asked to pay more taxes to the king. Before the Magna Carta laws were everywhere, and couldn’t be different for every city/town.

Why did the building of French fortifications alarm the governor of Virginia?
likoan [24]
The governor of Virginia was ordered by the king to spread into the Ohio valley river because of the rising population and the need of expansion. The french built forts so as to scare people away and prepare for a possible war, which was alarming to the governor of Virginia who couldn't spread into that land because of them. When he asked the French to leave it, they denied him his request and soon after the war began.
