Chloroplasts and Mitochondria are quite similar in function in relation to energy. They are organelles found on the cells of living organism, and are vital to life. Chloroplasts are found in the the cells of plants and some algae while mitochondria is found in body cells. Chloroplasts convert energy from the sun into sugar than can be used by the cells through the process of photosynthesis. Mitochondria converts energy from glucose into a simpler form known as ATP that can be easily absorbed by the cells.
