Answer: B. 6 cm

Explanation:

First we take down the information given to us,

distance from the lens to the image (v) = 24cm

distance from the original object to the lens (u) = 8cm

So using the formula

1/u + 1/v = 1/f

Where f is the focal length

So we just input our information

1/8 + 1/24 = 1/f

Therefore;

3/24 + 1/24 = 1/f

4/24 = 1/f

1/6 = 1/f

f = 6

Our focal length = 6cm

Phenylketonuria (PKU) is a disease that results from a recessive gene. Two normal parents produce a child with PKU. What is the
Alina [70]

Answer:

d. 1/2

Explanation:

According to this question, PKU (Phenylketonuria) is a recessive condition in humans. A normal human must possess at least a dominant allele in the gene.

In a situation where two normal parents produce a child with PKU. This means that both parents are heterozygous for the condition i.e Pp × Pp. Hence, the heterozygous male (Pp) will produce gametes in the following proportion: P (1/2) and p (1/2).

This means that the probability that a sperm from the father will contain the PKU allele (p) is 1/2 or 50%

Which plants produce leaves? (Select all that apply.) a. Gametophytes of bryophytes b. Gametophytes of seedless vascular plants
bixtya [17]

Answer:

a. Gametophytes of bryophytes

d. Sporophytes of seedless vascular plants

Explanation:

Bryophytes are non-vascular plants. The plant body is haploid gametophyte which is its dominant phase and bears sex organs. The gametophyte may be leafy as in moss and may be with thalloid as in liverworts.

Pteridophytes are seedless, true vascular plants. The plant body is the diploid sporophyte. The sporophyte is differentiated into true leaves, stem and roots.
