Which two statements are missing in steps 3 and 4? ∠X ≅ ∠C △ABC ~ △ZYX by the SAS similarity theorem. ∠B ≅ ∠Y △ABC ~ △ZYX by the
Zepler [3.9K]

Solution:

We have to prove that ,

△ABC ~ △Z Y X   Using SAS.

It is given that , ∠X ≅ ∠C .

You must keep in mind when two triangles are similar by S A S

1. The included side between the angle should be Proportional.

   \frac{BC}{XY}=\frac{AC}{XZ}

2. We have to prove that ,

△ABC ~ △Z Y X   Using SAS.

It is given that , ∠B ≅ ∠Y .

The included side between the given angle should be Proportional.

   \frac{BA}{ZY}=\frac{BC}{XY}

3. We have to prove that ,

△ABC ~ △Z Y X   Using SSS.

The three sides of two triangles must be Proportional.

   \frac{BC}{XY}=\frac{AB}{ZY}=\frac{AC}{XZ}

Oxana [17]

The difference between the simple interests received from 2 different banks on 2000 for 2 years is 30 the difference between their rate of interest is 0.75%

The difference between the simple interest from two different banks after 2 years with principal 2000 is given as 30.

We will find the difference between the interest rate that was levied on each bank.

<h3>What is simple interest?</h3>

Simple interest is the interest charge on a given principal amount for a specific period of time.

The formula used to find simple interest :

      \frac{P\times R\times T}{100}

Where P = principal amount

           R = Rate

           T = Time.

Consider there are two banks A and B.

Bank A:

Simple interest = SI (A)

Rate of interest = R (A)

Principal = P(A)

Time = T(A)

Bank B:

Simple interest = SI (B)

Rate of interest = R (B)

Principal = P(B)

Time = T(B)

Principal amount P and time T are the same for both banks.

P(A) = 2000 = P(B)  and  T(A) = 2 = T(B).

Simple interest ( A ) = {P(A) x R(A) x T(A)} / 100

= {2000 x R(A) x 2} / 100

= 40 x R(A) ..............(1)

Simple interest ( B ) = {P(B) x R(B) x T(B)} / 100

= {2000 x R(B) x 2} / 100

= 40 x R(B) ................(2)

The difference between the simple interest from two different banks after 2 years with principal 2000 is 30.

We can write it as:

Simple interest ( A ) - Simple interest ( B ) = 30

From (1) and (2).

40 x R(A) - 40 x R(B) = 30

40 {R(A) - R(B)} = 30

R(A) - R(B) = 30 / 40
R(A) - R(B) = 0.75 %

Thus the difference between the rate of interest of the two banks is 0.75%

What are the coordinates of vertex A of square ABCD?
bonufazy [111]
ABCD is a square . if the coordinates of three of its vertices are A(-1,2a), B(a,2a), C(a,0), find the coordinates of D. BC is obviously 2a (it's a vertical line) then AB must be 2a (notice AB is horizontal) so BC = AC because it is a square 2a = a+1 a=1

If you rotate a equilateral triangle by a side, what is the name of the resulting 3d shape
Katyanochek1 [597]
<h2> ☞ANSWER☜</h2>

<h3>3D shapes</h3>
  • Cube Cuboid
  • Sphere Square-based pyramid
  • Cylinder Triangular prism
  • Pentagonal pyramid Hexagonal prism

<h2> ☞EXPLANATION☜</h2>

<em><u>A solid of revolution is a three-dimensional figure obtained by rotating a two-dimensional figure (or curve) around a straight line (called the axis) that lies in the same plane. ... Since the triangle's interior is shaded, it creates the interior of the cone, creating a solid figure.</u></em>

<em><u>Three dimensional shapes are obtained by rotating the two dimensional shapes. When a circle is rotated we get sphere; when a triangle is rotated we get cone; when rectangle or square is rotated we get cylinder</u></em>
