I believe that few people were able to save enough money for retirement

Taking a generalist approach, there are many factors why even in recent past many elder people were supported by adult children.

In most countries in the early 20th century there was no retirement insurance plan provided by governments, and people couldn't afford to save money, as well; The first initiatives of retirement pension were started by private companies for their employees, who couldn't work as good as before (as a way to "get rid" of an employee that doesn't give profit); Later on, the people who could, paid banks for a private insurance plan (the people who were poor hardly have the chance to save any money).

In the past,  life expectancy was lower and there were many impairing diseases much more prevalent, what impeded people who managed to get to old age to work.

This is some reasons why many elder people couldn't depend on themselves for a living.

Lelechka [254]

Answer:

She fell in love with the Athenian hero Theseus and, with a thread or glittering jewels, helped Ariadne, in Greek mythology, daughter of Pasiphae and the Cretan king Minos. Ariadne's story was later taken up by European artists, writers, and  in the Mycenaean period, although it is not known where his cult originated.

Can someone please read and tell me if this character analyze is any good and what grade you'd give me?
Bess [88]
I think that this is a very good analyze, but it does seem like your more summarizing the novel not so much the character. I would give you an A because you were very specific and added a lot of details to your analysis. I do have some tips though, maybe you can talk about this person personality? What I got from the text was that he was thirsty for revenge but is he always like that? Then you say he falls in love with this girl, is he sweet an kind towards the people he loves? Just some tips, Just reading this made me want to read the Book!
