Creationists don't seem to understand that evolutionary theory has become the cornerstone of modern biology. As a biology student, everything I learn about is supported by the fact that all life on earth is related. Evolutionary theory provides the "glue" that holds modern biology together and it is not only the best, but the only scientific explanation which can provide legitimate answers to numerous scientific observations (like the structure of human chromosome #2, for instance). And I'm not even beginning to talk about the importance that the theory has had on modern medicine, fighting diseases, understanding how viruses evolve resistance, etc.
