Permanent Court of International Justice was one of the auxiliary bodies in the League of Nations.
<u>It consisted of eleven judges and four deputy-judges all of which were elected by the Assembly and the Council.</u>
This court had the authority to intervene in international disputes whenever it was considered of its concern and it could also provide legal advise on demand of the Assembly or the Council.
