Answer:

5.89%

Explanation:

The computation of the yield to maturity could be find out by determining by applying the RATE formula i.e. to be shown in the attachment

Provided that,

Present value = $955.25

Future value or Face value = $1,000

PMT = 1,000 × 5.5% ÷ 2 = $27.50

NPER = 19 years × 2 = 38 years

The formula is shown below:

= Rate(NPER;PMT;-PV;FV;type)

The present value come in negative

So, after applying the above formula , the YTM is

= 2.9473%  × 2

= 5.89%

Shtirlitz [24]

Answer:

a. John works the night shift,and night hours are less desirable for most workers.

Explanation:

The Equal Pay Act of 1963 established that employees must earn the same wage for similar jobs performed regardless of their gender. This means that you cannot pay someone more for being a men if the job done is the same. If any difference in wages exist, it must be justifiable in some way, e.g. different responsibilities, different labor conditions, serve different markets, etc.

In this case, since fewer people want to work on the night shift, in order to attract workers, the company might pay more for doing so. US laws does not require for night shifts to be paid higher wages, but the law of demand and supply might be responsible for the higher wages (demand and supply of labor).

GuDViN [60]

If Martin and Beasley switched from its current accounting method to an activity-based costing system, the amount of administrative cost chargeable to consulting services would change by an amount other than those listed above

Option D

Solution:

Total amount of administrative cost chargeable to consulting services in ABC costing is given below

( $200000 x 35% ) + ( $50000 x 30% ) + ( $20000 x 20% )

= $70000 + $15000 + $4000

= $89000

Hence, Using ABC costing administrative cost chargeable to consulting services decreases by ($270000 - $89000)

decreases by $181000

Hence,  D. change by an amount other than those listed above.
