Effects on Waterways
Fertilizers contain large amounts of nitrogen and phosphorus. When these chemicals runoff agricultural fields into waterways, they can lead to accelerated growth of aquatic plants. Nutrients from fertilizer runoff encourages the growth of nuisance algae through the process of eutrophication.
There are two ways you could look at this. If we got rid of all viruses, then less people would die. This is obviously a good thing as so many families are devastated by virus related deaths every year. However, all these extra people could lead to surplus population which, as history has shown, leads to drought, famine, and the eventual down fall of the empire/nation/etc
If a large animal such as a human being had a thin light exoskeleton, there would be several problems. Since the exoskeleton would not be able to hold its shape, it would be difficult to keep the vital organs protected and the organism would be subject to damaging levels of stress just by moving around. They are not strong enough to hold organs or hold its shape.
