The seventh amendment was considered a reformation due to before 1688, the English judges were servants of the king of England. These judges were often inclined to the king, and because of this their decisions were not always fair. During the Settlement Act, despite the independence gained many judges remained very biased to the king, which severely harmed the settlers and the population, leading them to start a fire that started the American revolution.

When the framers drafted the Bill of Rights, it was clear how extremely necessary was a fair judicial system, and that a jury trial would be a fundamental right and law of the country, which was the major benefit of the seventh amendment, written in 1700 and present until today in the supreme court.
