Answer:

\frac{x}{4} +1

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a verbal math expression. You don't need to solve or evaluate it; in fact, you can't solve or evaluate unless you're given an equivalent value or the value of x, respectively.

The question is asking you to rewrite this verbal expression into algebraic form. Thus, the quotient of <em>a number x</em> and <em>4</em> is \frac{x}{4} (as the first number/variable/expression listed is usually taken to be the dividend, while the second number/variable/expression listed is usually taken to be the divisor).

<em>One more than </em>implies addition, so \frac{x}{4} +1 should be the right answer.

Hope this helps!

The mean height for American adult men is 5 feet 10 inches (5’10"). The standard deviation is roughly 3 inches. Is a 5’7" man co
Helen [10]

Solution :

Given :

The mean height of an American adult = 5 feet 10 inches

Therefore converting feet into inches,

We know, 1 feet = 12 inches

So, 5 feet = 5 x 12 = 60 inches

The mean height in inches = 60+10

                                             = 70 inches

The standard deviation = 3 inches

x = 5 feet 7 inches

  = 5 x 12 + 7

  = 67 inches

∴ z score = \frac{x-mean}{sd}

                $=\frac{67-70}{3}$

                =\frac{-3}{3}

                 $=-1$

Therefore, the man's height is 1 standard deviation below mean

Any score above greater than 3 or less than -3 is considered to be an outliner.

Here its only -1 and it is less than -3.

Therefore, the height of the man 5'7'' is not considered abnormally short.

Find the measure of ZDCF. C F mDF = 49 G E MEG = 127 Find the measure of angle DCF
AleksandrR [38]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Comment

If two secants intersect outside a circle (as these two do) then the angle at which they meet is 1/2 the difference between the intersected arcs. Put much simpler <DCF = 1/2 (arc EG - arc DF)

Givens

Arc EG = 127

Arc DF = 49

Solution

<DCF = 1/2(127 - 49)

<DCF = 1/2(78)

<DCF = 39
