A soliloquy is essentially where one character talks to him-/herself in a long monologue. Usually, in this kind of speech, the character discloses his/her thoughts and feelings.
In Act 2, Scene 2 of Shakespeare's "R and J", we see R under J's balcony, looking on as she thinks to herself. This is one of the most famous parts of the play with R starting by saying "But soft! What light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and J is the sun".
Basically, R goes on a long spiel about how beautiful J is, beyond any type of beauty he has ever witnessed.
