1.The boys actions were mischievous. He called for help 2 different times when none was needed. then he called for help when he needed it and noone came to rescue him.

2. He was motivated first by boredom, just sitting in a field with noone to talk to and nothing to do but keep track of the sharp he was bored. After he saw that he got a favorable reaction for his 1st act then he was motivated by getting the same reaction again or causing a scene.

3. the first 2 times he was able to get the outcome he wanted. he caused a commotion and alleviated his boredom. but he found out the hard way it comes with a cost, you can only lie to people a couple of times before you lose your creditability and noone will come help you when you really do need it and he was eaten

Read the excerpt from Amy Tan’s essay “Mother Tongue.”
kotykmax [81]

Answer: A. “limited my perception”

Explanation: The purpose of Amy Tan’s essay, “Mother Tongue,” is to show how challenging it can be if an individual is raised by a parent who speaks “limited English” as Tan’s mother does, partially because it can result in people being judged poorly by others.
