A boy worked as a shepherd in a field. He sat all day long staring at the flock with nothing to do. One day, he had an idea to s

tir up some excitement. He cried out, “Wolf! Wolf!” The townspeople ran to assist him only to find out there was no wolf. The boy was pleased with the flurry of excitement he had caused. An hour later, the boy again cried, “Wolf! Wolf!” The townspeople again ran to assist him only to find there was no wolf. An hour later, the boy saw a wolf. It growled and bared its teeth. “Wolf! Wolf!” the boy cried out for help, but no one came to assist him, and he was eaten.

1.The boys actions were mischievous. He called for help 2 different times when none was needed. then he called for help when he needed it and noone came to rescue him.

2. He was motivated first by boredom, just sitting in a field with noone to talk to and nothing to do but keep track of the sharp he was bored. After he saw that he got a favorable reaction for his 1st act then he was motivated by getting the same reaction again or causing a scene.

3. the first 2 times he was able to get the outcome he wanted. he caused a commotion and alleviated his boredom. but he found out the hard way it comes with a cost, you can only lie to people a couple of times before you lose your creditability and noone will come help you when you really do need it and he was eaten
