According to this poem, the benefit of seeing ourselves the way others do is that it prevents us from making embarrassing mistakes.
The poet says in the poem that it would help us avoid making blunders and other foolish notions - meaning that we would likely know what the correct and right behavior is, and what we should avoid if we don't want to make fools out of ourselves.

The sun's rays blazed through the leaves like drops of fire.
Hitman42 [59]

The answer is C.  The sun is not purposely trying to burn leaves, as it is not sentient.  The word fire may be used to exaggerate the tone, but it does not pertain to a simile.  The sun’s rays resembling drops of fire may contribute to an energetic tone, but C is the only answer that suggests simile.

\frac{?}{20} = \frac{1 \times 4}{5\times 4} = \frac{4}{20}

\frac{?}{25} = \frac{1 \times 5}{5\times 5} = \frac{5}{25}

\frac{?}{45} = \frac{1 \times 9}{5\times 9} = \frac{9}{45}
