I like area questions.

On the left we have a triangle, base apparently 9 cm, height 7 cm.

In the middle it's a 3 cm by 9 cm rectangle.

Then it's a parallelogram, base 9. We have to figure out the height; it must be 16 - 7 - 3 = 6 cm.

Adding up the areas,

A = (1/2) 9×7 + 3×9 + 6×9 = 112.5 sq cm

Answer: 112.5 sq cm

HELP?? A lunch combo has the following options: Entree: Hamburger, Hotdog, Chicken sandwich Side: Apples, Salad Drink: Milk, Wat
murzikaleks [220]

Using the Fundamental Counting Theorem, the sample size of these outcomes is of 12.

What is the Fundamental Counting Theorem?

It is a theorem that states that if there are n things, each with n_1, n_2, \cdots, n_n ways to be done, each thing independent of the other, the number of ways they can be done is:

N = n_1 \times n_2 \times \cdots \times n_n

Considering the number of options for Entree, Side and Drink, the parameters are:

n1 = 3, n2 = 2, n3 = 2.

Hence the sample size of outcomes is:

N = 3 x 2 x 2 = 12.

a motorcycle dealer paid a certain price for a motorcycle and marked it up by 1/5 of the price he paid. Later, he sold it for $1
katovenus [111]
Okay so $14,000 is the equivalent of 6/5ths
so divide $14,000 by 6= $2333.3r

you need 5/5
so $2333.3r x 5 = $11666.67
this is the original price

A dolphin jumps 54 times in a 6 hour
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

18 jumps would be expected in a 2 hour period.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A dolphin jumps 54 times in a 6 hour period.

To find : At this rate, how many jumps would be expected in a 2 hour period?

Solution :

Applying unitary method,

In 6 hour period Dolphin jumps 54 times.

In 1 hour period Dolphin jumps \frac{54}{6} times.

In 1 hour period Dolphin jumps 9 times.

In 2 hour period Dolphin jumps 2\times 9 times.

In 2 hour period Dolphin jumps 18 times.

Therefore, 18 jumps would be expected in a 2 hour period.
