Angle e will be 132 because it is a vertical angle with 132, and they are congruent. Angle d will be 48 because it must add up to 180, and 180-132=48. Angle c will be 42 because that and 138 are supplementary angles, and they need to add up to 180, so 180-138=42. Angle b will be 90 because it is across from the 90 degree angle, and so they are congruent. And angle a will be 90 as well because angles a and b are supplementary angles, so they need to add up to be 180 degrees. I hope that helps! :)

Use the pythagorean theorem to write an equation for the distance Jane's trainer bikes.
ankoles [38]

Complete question is;

Jane is training for a triathlon. After swimming a few laps, she leaves the health club and bikes 16 miles south. She then runs 12 miles west. Her trainer bikes from the health club to meet jane at the end of her run. Use the pythagorean theorem to write an equation for the distance janes trainer bikes

Answer:

x = √(12² + 16²)

Step-by-step explanation:

We are told that;

She bikes from health club to South = 16 miles

From South to West = 12 miles

Her trainer bikes from the health club to meet her at the end which is west.

I have attached a diagram showing this movement in form of a triangle.

From the diagram I attached, I have depicted the distance the trainer bikes as x.

Using pythagoras theorem;

x² = 12² + 16²

x = √(12² + 16²)

Freya is training for a track race. She starts by sprinting 200 yards. She gradually increases her distance, adding 5 years a da
disa [49]

Freya begins started with 200 yards.

Freya then increased her distance by adding five yards a day for two days.

x = 200 + (n - 1)5.

[x = The distance Freya sprints on day 21]

x = 200 + (21 - 1)5

x = 200 + (20) 5 = 300 yards
