Byron was an atypical Romantic because he expressed cynicism in his poems. It was unusual for a Romantic poet not to focus solely on emotions such as love and happiness/sadness, but to talk about cynicism as well.
Drama that shows the downfall of a noble hero, a generally good person of high birth who makes a tragic mistake or error in judgment. It can also be a character flaw. (In Greek tragedy, it is usually hubris, or excessive pride, that causes the downfall of the character.)
