Thermal pollution is defined as sudden increase or decrease in temperature of a natural body of water which may be ocean, lake, river or pond by human influence. This normally occurs when a plant or facility akes in water from a natural resource and puts it back with an altered temperature. Usually, these facilities use it as a cooling method for their machinery or to help better produce their pollen

What does it mean to share electrons evenly?
ASHA 777 [7]

Answer:

Sharing electrons occurs when atoms have a covalent bond. Covalent bonds occur between non-metals and there are two types of covalent bonds: Polar and Nonpolar Covalent bonds. Polar covalent bonds are when there is an unequal sharing of electrons which causes the atom that occupies the electron(s) more to have a slightly negative charge while the atom that occupies the electron(s) less has a slightly positive charge. Nonpolar covalent bonds basically have equal sharing of the electron(s).

Atoms bond because they need to become stable like the noble gases.

Hershey and Chase used a DNA-based virus for their work. How might the results have been different if they had used an RNA virus
4vir4ik [10]

Answer:

The correct answer is c.With an RNA virus, radioactive RNA would have been in the final pellet.

Explanation:

Hershey and Chase infected E.coil with bacteriophage which was having DNA as its genetic material. The bacteriophage was labeled with radioactive sulfur and radioactive phosphorus and it was radioactive phosphorus that was found in the bacterial cells or pellet.

As because DNA contains phosphorus, not protein therefore they it was proved that DNA is the genetic material. Similarly, RNA is also a nucleic acid which is genetic material for many viruses and contains phosphorus.

So if Hershey and chase might have chosen an RNA virus then radioactive RNA would have been present in the pellet. So the correct answer is c.
