77julia77 [94]

Answer:

a) Y= 90 +46.50(5) +0.35 (340) =441.50

b) The accountant should not question the voucher as the request is much higher than expected.

c) We can add the following variables

d) The percentage of variation in the trip cost that can be explained by the model = (0.64)^2 =0.4096 or 40.96%

A. Type of travel (air/car)

B. Gender of the executive (male/female)

The last option is not too important since we are analyzing the traveling executives not the type of business

Step-by-step explanation:

Part a

For this case we have the multiple regression model given by:

Y= 90 +46.50 x_1 +0.35 x_2

Where x_1 represent the number of days on the road and x_2 the distance traveled in miles.

And we want to find the expected amount from a 340-mile trip that took her out of town for 5 days, so we just need to replace x1= 5 and x2=340 and we got:

Y= 90 +46.50(5) +0.35 (340) =441.50

Part b

The expected value taking in count that x1 = 5 and y = 340 is:

Y= 90 +46.50(55) +0.35 (340) =441.50

And the difference from the obtained value is : 685-441.50=243.5

So then the correct answer would be:

The accountant should not question the voucher as the request is much higher than expected.

Part c

We can add the following variables

A. Type of travel (air/car)

B. Gender of the executive (male/female)

The last option is not too important since we are analyzing the traveling executives not the type of business

Part d

The correlation coefficient is a "statistical measure that calculates the strength of the relationship between the relative movements of two variables". It's denoted by r and its always between -1 and 1.

The coefficient of determination "is a measure used in statistical analysis that assesses how well a model explains and predicts future outcomes. It is indicative of the level of explained variability in the data set".

The percentage of variation in the trip cost that can be explained by the model = (0.64)^2 =0.4096 or 40.96%

5t 8=43 whats t.I WILL GIVE 50 POINTS AND IF YOU DONT RECEIVE THE POINTS TELL ME AND I WILL GIVE THEM.PLZ HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
lawyer [7]

==> I can't be sure of the equation.  There's a blank space
        between '5t' and '8', where an operation must be.
       I think the operation is more likely ' + ' (addition). Brainly usually
       does show the ' - ' if it's subtraction, but goes blank if it's addition.
       Tell you what I'll do: Since you sound so desperate, and you're being
       so generous with your points, I'll show you how to figure it out both ways.

----------------------------------------

If it's subtraction:                 5t - 8 = 43

Add  8  to each side:              5t      = 51

Divide each side by  5 :            t     = 51/5

                                                 t     = 10 and 1/5

--------------------------------------------

If it's addition:                         5t + 8  =  43

Subtract  8  from each side:     5t        =  35

Divide each side by  5 :             t        =   7

Solve in simultaneou linear equation.
dangina [55]

Answer:

The bag costs 1500, while the umbrella cost 500

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost of the bag be b and the cost of the umbrella be u

Total cost is;

b + u = 2,000 •••••(i)

From the second part of the question;

b = 5u-1000 ••••••(ii)

Substitute ii into i

5u-1000 + u = 2000

6u = 2000 + 1000

6u = 3000

u = 3000/6

u = 500

To get b, substitute the value of u into equation ii

b = 5(500)-1000

b = 2500-1000

b = 1500

g A coin where the probability of heads is 0.3 is flipped 2000 times. Use the normal approximation to the binomial distribution
matrenka [14]

Title:

See the explanation.

Step-by-step explanation:

The coin is to be flipped 2000 times.

The probability of getting a head is 0.3.

It is given that, we need to get a head in between 575 and 618 times.

If we will get 575 heads then we will get (2000 - 575) tails.

Hence, if we take that we want to get n times head, then we will get (2000 - n) times tail.

The probability of not getting a head is (1 - 0.3) = 0.7.

The probability of getting n times head is ^{2000}C_n (0.3)^n \times (0.7)^{2000 - n}.

The required probability is ∑ ^{2000}C_n (0.3)^n \times (0.7)^{2000 - n}, where 575 \leq n \leq 618.
