The Pilgrims who came over to the New World came for freedom of religion. The Strangers, who were people who came over with the Pilgrims, were Dutch people who had been kicked out of England for practicing their religion. The English and Dutch interests in the New World were similar because they both wanted freedom of religion.

Not really, the axis powers were on the back foot, many had submitted and japan could’ve been defeated in a way that didn’t see countless civilians killed. However, they did still pose a threat and the Japanese were amongst the worst of the axis powers both in power and brutality. So in order to bring them to their knees i suppose you could consider it justified
