Many things happened to Beowulf in the years after his defeat to Grendel.

Explanation:

First, Beowulf is famous man because he slew Grendel and his mother. Some years after he takes the throne of the Geats, he had the throne during fifty years and was a wise and kind king. Years later, when Beowulf is old, however, a dragon appears, destroying the place of the Geats. Beowulf goes to defeat the dragon but it bit Beowulf in his neck, killing him after their encounter.
