Answer:

The above lines are said by Marguerite Johnson (or Maya Angelou), the main protagonist and narrator of the story "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sing".

Explanation:

Maya Angelou recounts her life from childhood till she also have a daughter of her own in her autobiographical book "I Know Why The Caged Bird Sing". Even though she was raped and had to live in poverty, she was able to overcome all these negativity and get a life of her own, finally getting a family and finding happiness.

The above lines shows the "house playing scene" of Maya, her brother Bailey and Joyce. The two were about to have sex when Maya, fully knowing the consequences of the act, warns her brother that it will lead him to a hospital visit. This she said because she had also experienced the same when she was raped by her mother's boyfriend, Mr Freeman.

What are the names of the two types which are found in philiphines
bagirrra123 [75]

Answer:

If you are referring to the two names that Philiphines already had, these names were Las islas Filipinas and Pearl of the Orient Seas.

Explanation:

The Philippines has been a Spanish republic for years and was named after King Philip II, however, many other names have been adopted over successive years. This custom of naming the colonies and changing these names periodically was common in Portuguese and Spanish colonies, and the colonies were named in honor of someone, due to religious events, or some characteristic of the place.

Which of these excerpts from Carl Sandburg’s “Chicago” best shows a tone of admiration?
Talja [164]
Excerpt 2.

This excerpt shows a tone of admiration through all of the words the narrator uses to describe the subject. He says they are "fierce as a dog" and "cunning as a savage". Fierce and cunning are two words that seem admirable to the narrator. The word "rebuilding" at the end also shows admiration, as the subject keeps rebuilding after things have been broken down.
