Diffusion occurs in all states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. It occurs rapidly enough to be observable in a reasonable period of time, however, only in liquids and gases.

Ecology that focuses on dynamic changes occurring in one species is _____ ecology.
guajiro [1.7K]

The answer is population ecology.  The purpose of this field is to research how a particular group interrelates with its surroundings to gauge how long it can continue living in a certain place.  It is also used in the study of population dynamics.

What is an organism? Include examples for both plants and animals.
Alla [95]

Answer:

Explanation:

1. Where do gases enter plants? What gases are needed for photosynthesis? Which gas or gases exit a leaf? 2. How does water move
tester [92]

Explanation:

  1. stomata

1 (a) Carbon dioxide enters stomata while water and oxygen exit, through a leaf's stomata they allow carbon dioxide in, but they also let precious water escape.

1 (b) Plants use carbon dioxide, oxygen and water in photosynthesis

2 Water is passively transported into the roots and then into the xylem. The forces of cohesion and adhesion cause the water molecules to form a column in the xylem

2(a)Transpiration is the evaporation of water at the surfaces of the spongy mesophyll cells in leaves, followed by loss of water vapour through the stomata . Transpiration produces a tension or 'pull' on the water in the xylem vessels by the leaves. Water molecules are cohesive so water is pulled up through the plant

Animals and most microorganisms are classified as chemoorganoheterotrophs. the prefixes "chemo," "organo," and "hetero" refer to
solmaris [256]

“chemo” refers to energy source (reformed molecules)how the organism obtains electrons (from the oxidation and reduction-redox)

“organo”-refers to electron donor (organic substrate and compound)

“heterotroph”-refers to carbon source (organic compounds).

Examples of chemoorganoheterotrophs are decomposers-obtain carbon and electron reactions from dead organic matter, herbivores and carnivores- obtain carbon and electron reactions from living organic matter.
