Answer:

C. The articles of confederation

Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union was the first written constitution of the United States. Written in 1777 and stemming from wartime urgency, its progress was slowed by fears of central authority and extensive land claims by states. It was not ratified until March 1, 1781. Under these articles, the states remained sovereign and independent, with Congress serving as the last resort on appeal of disputes. Significantly, The Articles of Confederation named the new nation “The United States of America.” Congress was given the authority to make treaties and alliances, maintain armed forces and coin money. However, the central government lacked the ability to levy taxes and regulate commerce, issues that led to the Constitutional Convention in 1787 for the creation of new federal laws under The United States Constitution.

As a disclaimer, I do not remember who York is. But I will try my best to help you out!

Describe each

Lewis-Adventurous, oldest of the duo, leader personality, had his one problems (depression, emotions) but was a great explorer

Clark- Younger than Lewis, a great mapmaker, happy outlook (he had a good life after the expedition)

Sacajawea - Curious, a leader in her own after being a follower, a great taste for adventure. Bold.

Roles in the journey-

Lewis- Lewis and Clark both led the mission but Lewis was more the leader type

Clark-Clark was the mapmaker and studied the land and maps, he always knew what direction they needed to go.

Sacajawea- Assisted the men when needed, cooked and carried things with them while hiking. (Remember that story where she grabbed the crates, saving the guys' hides cause of all the equipment? Yeah, she was important.)

Feelings toward the trip-

Lewis, Lewis had a taste for adventure and was willing to lead and follow through a mission (but like I said, he struggles with his emotions and other stuff)

Clark-Clark was excited because of his bond with President Jefferson and he got to use his map skills.

Sacajawea- Not sure how she was at first but she was no stranger to being far from home, she was a very strong and willing soul.

Interacted with others

Lewis- As far as I know, Lewis and Clark were good friends, they might have bickered from time to time but they were friends through it all.

Sacajawea- She became friends with the men and they valued her in her aiding of the trip.

That's about all i have to offer, I hope I helped you in any way. I'm sorry I couldn't answer about York, I don't remember much. best of luck! xx

Which statement accurately describes the significance of the War of 1812?
trasher [3.6K]
A Because the British saw the United States as a weak baby at the beginning of the war and thought that it could be easily overcome. However, the United States never gave up although they were outnumbered, thus proving to England that it could stand as its own sovereign nation.
