Identify one type of proposed land conservation and one type of proposed water conservation in the southwest. Then, explain why
mestny [16]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

One type of proposed land conservation in the southwest is the Forest Management Plan created by the Conservation and Parks Commission in order to protect the woods and the reserves of timber. It is a well thought out plan that ends in 2024 and is expected to deliver the proper results on conservation of the environment. This is also a plan that includes proposed water conservation goals in the southwest because hydrological cycles are changing due to climate change manifestations that are affecting the raining season in this region. Both types of conservation are needed to keep the region's environment healthy and protected. That is why American citizens have to be aware of this plan and express their support and cooperation with federal and local authorities.

Why would some historians regard the GI Bill as a "success" and why would others regard it as a failure?
Valentin [98]

Answer: Because the GI Bill was successful for only part of the population.

Explanation:

GI Bill is a law passed in 1944 promoted to help soldiers mobilized during the 2nd world war to rejoin in the society. The benefits that the soldiers would have are; financial aid by a year, facility to obtain loans of a house or small business and financing of its technical or university studies. This economic drive led to economic and social development between 1950 and 1960.

However, even though the law intended to help all soldiers, there was discrimination and segregation when it was granted; African American soldiers and women were less benefited, or had greater obstacles to obtaining benefits; for example, universities did not allow people of color to enroll, and they were not granted financing to purchase housing.

For this reason, the GI Bill was a success for white soldiers returning from the war, but it did not equally benefit the entire population, with African Americans and women being discriminated against.

Why did Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton focus their attention on women’s suffrage?
Crazy boy [7]

Explanation:

When Susan B. Anthony was denied a chance to speak at a temperance convention because of her gender, she was inspired to shift her focus to the fight for women’s rights. She realized that no one would take women in politics seriously unless they had the right to vote, writing: “There never will be complete equality until women themselves help to make laws and elect lawmakers.”Anthony was tireless in her efforts, giving speeches around the country to convince others to support a woman’s right to vote. She even took matters into her own hands in 1872 when she voted in the presidential election illegally. Anthony was arrested and tried unsuccessfully to fight the charges. She ended up being fined $100—a fine she never paid.
