Explanation:

The question refers to the article of The Man with the Plan. In the article there have been numerous detaila about the Brooklyn bridge that was created by John Augustus Roebling

To explain the hype about the bridge, the story starts with writer’s father disbelieving that the bridge had actually been built. And the family was fully dressed up for the inauguration ceremony of bridge and the narrator said that there was a huge crowd waiting in excitement for bridge opening at the inauguration.

To enhance this realistic recreation of history; following incident is quoted;

“On May 17, 1884, P. T. Barnum led 21 elephants over the Brooklyn Bridge to prove that it was stable”

What are stereotypes, and how do they affect how we see ourselves and how others see us?
Alinara [238K]

Answer:

hope this helps!

Explanation:

What is stereotyping? Stereotyping is what most of us do, whether we want to admit it or not. For example, we might assume someone doesn’t know how to speak English fluently because of the color of their skin. When we stereotype, we put people in different categories we think they might fit in. When we do this, we give everyone in that category a specific characteristic. For example, fast-food restaurants that provide toys along with kid's meals, assume that boys like to play with cars and girls like to play with dolls. Stereotypes are a problem when they include assumptions about people that are not necessarily accurate. Stereotyping affects everyone, man or woman. Stereotyping changes the way we look at others and sometimes it changes the way we look at ourselves too. It may make us feel like we're not wanted, and we don't belong, but we do belong.

The answer is Letter D - Irony.

Foreshadowing: hint of what is to come later in the story; Allusion: makes reference to something or someone else; Hyperbole: an exaggeration (it's not a hyperbole since Pip's belief is not true); Irony: a contrast between what is said and what is meant - Pip's statement is an irony because Biddy has not done him wrong at all, in fact, it's the other way around.
