Answer:

Skul along with CSF and meninges provide protection to brains and hence it would be wrong to say that only skull provides protection to brain

Explanation:

It is not the skull only that protects the brain. Actually a set of tissues and fluid along with the skull protects the brains. For instance, the Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) plays an essential role in preventing brain from any injury by enacting as a cushion between the skull and brain. Meninges are set of three tissues that lie between the brain and skull and provide coverage and protection to the brain.

Hence, skull do not protect our brain as much as we think

Species richness increases _____. Group of answer choices as we increase in altitude in equatorial mountains as community size d
erica [24]

Species richness increases as we travel southward from the North Pole.

Explanation:

Species richness is at its highest in places near or surrounding the equator and reduces gradually towards the poles. As one travel towards south from the northern pole, the temperate, tropical and equatorial regions will be reached where there is huge diversity of species.

Be it the tropical rain forests, the Amazon forests, or the deciduous forests, they are highly rich in their species population and variety. This is mainly due to availability of favorable conditions like weather, temperature, rainfall, etc which favors their growth and reproduction. Numerous phyla or classes of species can be found in such equatorial belts rather than in the north or the south pole.

Elevation gradient also plays an role in species richness.

which of the following can be changed during meiosis? Is it a base sequence, a number of amino acids, a number of chromosomes, o
FromTheMoon [43]

Answer:

Number of chromosomes

Explanation:

Meiosis is a specialized type of cell division in which the gametes are produced.

A diploid parent cell first replicates its DNA. Then, two rounds of cell division occurs to produce 4 haploid cells, each with half the amount of chromosomes. These gametes fuse during fertilization to restore the diploid state.

Therefore, meiosis changes the number of chromosomes.
