In 100 to 150 words, explain the political changes from Map 1 to Map 2.
ira [324]
The Scramble for Africa refers to the period between roughly 1884 and 1914, when the European colonisers partitioned the – up to that point – largely unexplored African continent into protectorates, colonies and ‘free-trade areas’. At the time the colonisers had limited knowledge of local conditions and their primary consideration was to avoid conflict among themselves for African soil. Since no one could foresee the short-lived colonial era, the border design – which endured the wave of independence in the 1960s – had sizable long-lasting economic and political consequences. The Scramble for Africa resulted in several large countries characterised by highly heterogeneous geography and ethnically fragmented populations that limit the ability of governments to broadcast power and build state capacity.

How were the Neolithic Revolution and Industrial Revolution alike and different?
ki77a [65]
The Neolithic Revolution and Industrial Revolution had many similarities and differences. One of which they shared, being that they both saw an increase of population. Both were in separate time periods, this resulted in different inventions essential to that historical era. The Industrial Revolution brought in machines, a better work industry, and much more advanced resources for society. The Neolithic Revolution yielded farming tools and such during a time where inventions were sparse. Overall, their differences and similarities led to one another.

Creon s argument that he is older and wiser than his son is an example of __________. ethos pathos logos harmatia
maria [59]

Croen's argument that he is older and wiser than his son is an example of ethos.

Ethos is when an argument is constructed based on the ethics or credibility of the person that is making an argument.  Ethos is in contrast to pathos, which appeals to emotions. Logos appears to logic or reason. Harmatia is something completely different and means when a fatal flaw leads to the downfall of a tragic hero.
