predominantly the minstrels tended to put more focus on their instrument rather
than their singing. While the upper class had minstrels, the lower class had
more homely music. There have peasants and merchants of middle ages also who
enjoyed music but because of their poverty they could not afford such expensive
instruments and this lead to the advancement of singing as an art. </span>
