Answer:

The Solutions are distinct and rational

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the general form of a quadratic equation: ax²+bx+c=0

The discriminant D=b²-4ac is used to determine the nature of the roots of the quadratic equation.

There are three cases:

1. If b² - 4ac > 0

The quadratic equation has two real, distinct (different) roots.

2.If b² - 4ac < 0

The quadratic equation has no real roots. i.e. It has complex roots

3. If b² - 4ac = 0

The quadratic equation has two real, identical roots.

Given our equation:

5x²+11x+6=0

a=5, b=11, c=6

The discriminant:

D=b²-4ac=11²-4(5)(6)=1

Since D=1>0, the roots of the equation are real and distinct.

1)

neverminding how many grams or liters...or whatever unit for now
we know one bag of grass covered 1/6 of the lawn, "a whole" or 1, is 6/6
if 1 bag covers 1/6, to cover 6/6 is just 1/6 +1/6 +1/6 +1/6 +1/6 +1/6 , or 6 bags

2)

one can was enough for 1/4 of the sprayer, a full sprayer is 1 whole or 4/4, so 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4  or 4 cans

3)

one potato gives enough for 1/3 for a lighbulb, again, 1 whole is 3/3, so 1/3 +1/3 +1/3 , so 3 potatoes

Which inequality is represented by this graph? (0, 1) (6,0)
lawyer [7]

Answer:

Hope this isn't too late. The Answer Is D.

Step-by-step explanation:

The graph line becomes dotted when the inequality is less than or greater than, never less than or equal to./ greater than or equal to. This leaves to choices: B and D. D is the correct answer because the way the shading is going. because the shading is going up that means that the inequality is greater than.

Answer: y=1x + 1

i used the coordinates (-1,0) and (3,4) to find the slope 4/4 or 1.
plugged in M and B using the coordinates and got
4=1•3+b
4=3+b
-3 -3
1=b
y=1x+1

hope this makes sense!!
