The three criteria and dimensions of evaluating a business gift are as under:

 • Content
 • Context
 • Culture

Explanation:

Content can be stated as the nature of the gift and its price. Utmost care must be taken to decide whether the business gift is appropriate.

It is vital for companies to establish a clear type and value limits on business gifts. However, it is also important to analyze the objectives behind the corporate gits. This is what is termed as context.

Culture is vital to set clear protocols and boundaries so that gifts are rightly seen as gifts, and not as an attempt to bribe or influence.
