The answer would be C.

Twenty dollars is not a fair price for that old tape player.

It couldn't be are. since are is used for plural nouns. "Tape player" is singular, therefore, it is not are.

Be is a connecting verb. It connects certain words, but in this case, it isn't grammatically correct.

"Were" is the past subjunctive of "be". Were is usually used in past tense and is second person singular past and plural past.

Have a wonderful day! :)

Of the following types of nonfiction, which is a lengthy work that an author writes about his/her own life?
rewona [7]
The correct answer is letter D, autobiography. If you cut the word into two, you will have auto and biography. Auto obviously means author. So, autobiography means the author's biography. An autobiography is an account of a person't life written by that same person as well. With is being a non-fiction, it is a true to life story which means that no character is fake and every story he/she tells really happened to his/her life. Also, the characters, setting and events of his/her life in the autobiography is real.

The leap by Louise Erdrich what statement best expresses the theme of the short story
maxonik [38]

Answer:

The clearest theme in “The Leap” is presented by the title itself, that of bridging gaps, making connections between things. Physical, temporal, and emotional connections provide a thread that runs through the story. The most obvious are the two physical leaps made by Anna, as a trapeze artist, to save herself and her children from fire.
