To find the midpoint, add x1 and x2 then divide by 2, then add y1 and y2 and divide by 2.

Midpoint = (2a +2b /2 , 0 + 2c /2)

Midpoint = a+b, c

Collin wants to solve this system of equations. Which number can he multiply the first equation by so that when the two equation
siniylev [52]
If u multiply the first equation by -4, u get -2x - y = -20

and when u add the 2 equations..
-2x - y = -20
2x + 3/8y = 5
-----------------
0 - 5/8y = -15.....u notice that the x terms r eliminated.

Find the domain and range of function f(x) is equal to root √x-1
Vladimir79 [104]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

If you meant f(x) = √x - 1, then the domain is [0, infinity).

If you meant f(x) = √(x-1), then the domain is [1, infinity).

When any ambiguity may rear its ugly head, use parentheses, as indicated here.

Which of the following is the general term for the sequence? -a, a^2, -a^3, a^4,...
Elis [28]

Answer:

The answer would be -a(-a)^{n-1}.

Step-by-step explanation:

We can simply substitute the terms into this equation. Checking the 1st term, -a(-a)^{1-1} = -a(-a)^{0} = -a(1) = -a. Moving on to the second term, we see -a(-a)^{2-1} = -a(-a)^{1} = -a(-a) = a^{2}. And so on and so forth. We can see how the answer fluctuates between negative and positive, while gaining one more exponent every term, which fits with the sequence given. Therefore, the answer would be -a(-a)^{n-1}.

Hope this helped!
