If the perimeter is 90 feet and on side is 26 feet then the width of the playground is 38 feet

C because if the perimeter is 90 and one side is 26 then the side across from it is also 26. If you add those you get 52 so you subtract that from 90 and you get 38 which is the sum of the two left over sides which are the same length. If they’re the same length then you just have to divide by 2.

liberstina [14]

Answer: ($3.055, $3.205)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Significance level : \alpha: 1-0.95=0.5

Critical value : z_{\alpha/2}=1.96

Sample size : n= 36

Sample mean : \overline{x}=\$\ 3.13

Standard deviation : \sigma= \$\ 0.23

The confidence interval for population mean is given by :_

\overline{x}\pm z_{\alpha/2}\dfrac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

\text{i.e. }\$\ 3.13\pm (1.96)\dfrac{0.23}{\sqrt{36}}\\\\\approx\$\ 3.13\pm0.075\\\\=(\$\ 3.13-0.075,\$\ 3.13+0.075)=(\$\ 3.055,\$\ 3.205)

Hence, the 95% confidence interval to estimate the population mean = ($3.055, $3.205)

Why is the answer to a subtraction problem called the difference...
lana [24]
Maybe because you're finding the "difference" between the two numbers. We could also question why the answer to an addition problem is called sum.
Well, 'sum'body said that's what they should be called a long time ago, that's why we're using that term to call them now.

In the graph shown, which ordered pair does NOT represent a solution to the graph?
andreyandreev [35.5K]
A) (1, 7) Doesn't
B) (0, 4) Doesn't
C) (2, –2) Doesn't
D) (3, –5) DOES

All the steps are right at the exception of line 7 (and onwards)

line 6 : 6x = 42 (it's right). Now divide both sides by 6:

line 7 should be:  6x/6 = 42/6
line 8 should be: x = 7.
