Andrews [41]

Answer:

It is wise to know the enemy you face

Explanation:

According to the excerpt, Odyssey and his crew made an ignorant assumption that the Cyclops should honor their guests.

Little did King Odysseus realize that he had an entirely way of thinking and culture from the Cyclops. He tells Polyphemus, a Cyclop that he entreats him to <u>"have a care for the gods' courtesy.</u>.." and that <u>"Zeus will avenge the unoffending guest".</u>

Polyphemus replies that he <u>"care not a whistle for your thundering Zeus"</u> because the Cyclops had no regards for the gods as they believed themselves more powerful.

The theme of the conflict is that It is wise to know the enemy you face.

What is the best expression of the theme of Emily Dickinson's poem "Fame Is a Bee"?
Luden [163]
The correct answer is C. Fame is attractive, but it can hurt and does not last.
Bees are attractive in that they produce honey and are generally quite important in the ecosystems of the world. However, they can sting people which of course makes it hurt, and once they do that, they die, meaning their lives are very short. This is similar to fame - in the beginning, everything is wonderful, but then famous people tend to hurt others and get hurt themselves, and their fame is ultimately fleeting.

2) In Angleton, all streets run north and south or east and west. Tony lives 1 block west of Ramil and 3 blocks south of David.
KATRIN_1 [288]

Answer: 3

Explanation:

In the next illustration, each symbol ("-" and "|") represent the blocks from the example provided.

Paco  - - -  Mike

 |    David     |

Ed     |            |

        |            |

        |            |

    Tony  -  Ramil

According to this layout, to go to David´s house from Ed´s, Ed should walk 1 block to the north and two blocks to the east. On the other hand, to go to Ed´s house from Davids´s, David should walk 1 block to the south and two blocks to the west, meaning that they live 3 blocks apart.

HELP ME PLEASEEE IM FALLING BEHIND, write a 2 paragraph argument saying why social media is bad for teenagers! Include a claim a
Xelga [282]

Explanation:

I want to help you because I know how hard it is to catch up when you are falling behind. To be completely honest I would love to do the whole thing for you but I have my own school work to do as well. I am answering this question in my free time and I am basically going to give you a very detailed and somewhat filled-out outline. I'm also not completely the entire assignment because I find it important that people on here do the majority of their assignments themselves. Also, there are no "informational paragraphs" above.

Answer:

Introduction/Hook:

While several teenagers will make the argument that social media is the greatest thing to ever happen, it has its downsides.

Claim:

Social media has a number of negatives that come with it.

Counterclaim:

Social media may not always be the heart of the younger generation or the thing that makes technology so technological.

Body Paragraph:

For some teens, it boosts their confidence levels but for others, it takes theirs away. It keeps teens on their phones all the time instead of them focusing on in-person activities and interacting with other people.

I'm don't know if this is what you wanted but I hope it helps!

Have a lovely day!
