Answer:

Sportscasters stopped doing Highlight reels because most people having watched the them hardly pay attention to the details of the other parts/sections that make up the events. It creates apathy among viewers, especially in sports.

Explanation:.

The best moments from a certain event or time period is called Highlights Reels. It is the synopsis of the high-points of the entire events. It gives the overview of the crucial moments of the event/time. Nowadays, people are so impatient that after watching or listening to the highlight reels, they hardly care to dive into the details of the events. The highlight reels do not carry the marketing aspects or packages of the event, especially sports where many companies place advertisements and purchase Television Rights/other sponsorship packs. The deficiency of the sponsorship packages makes the sponsors not to attain the objectives of investing huge sums in such ventures thereby discouraging them in subsequent events from venturing into such futility.

However, the sportscasters during the life of the events render comprehensive details of the essence of the adverts and likewise sell their own personal brands. But the highlight reels elude every other participant, including the players from showcasing their contents since highlights reels are subjective. The highlight reels chosen by an individual or group differ from that of others. They may contain similar contents but not exact contents because choice and views differ with individuals and groups.
