This arm beneath your head!
It is some dream that on the deck,

The correct answer is B) For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding.

The line that suggests a grieving person calling out to a loved one or a respected leader is "For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding."

The poem  “O Captain! My Captain!” was written by Walt Whitman in 1865, and it refers to the death of United States President Abraham Lincoln. It was included in a collection of poems about the American Civil War called "Sequel to Drum-Taps." The poem is a mourning one that pretends to honor and shows respect to the life of Lincoln.

write an essay stating your position on whether or not civil disobedience can be peacefully solve a social injustice. Someone pl
zalisa [80]

Civil disobedience is a form of activism. It is when a citizen declares his refusal to adhere to certain commands of the government. It is a non-violent, peaceful demonstration of citizens usually against social injustices. It includes marches, strikes, protests and blockades. Its mission is to raise awareness about certain issues in the community and inspire others to join in a cause. It is often done well-timed, when there is an opportunity to be seen/ heard (e.g. elections, court hearings, conferences etc).

This is how civil disobedience influence legislation or government policy:

1.  The Government, which is created by the people, for the people, is bound to listen especially when the majority display civil disobedience. It is obliged to focus its attention on the dilemma--social injustice. The laws now can be modified by the Government officials to serve the people, not the other way around.

2. In politics, personalities in Government often betoken themselves with certain values. During election, the citizens tend to appoint those who sympathize with their concerns. A community who is keen on fighting social injustice, will choose to put politicians who also believe in the same movement to represent them and initiate the fight against social injustice in the administration.

Which statement explains the relationship between literary devices and theme?
Flura [38]

Answer:

Litery devised emphesize theme.

Explanation:

Litarery devises are used to emphesize the theme. For example, if I were to use lots of metaphors, I'd potentially be emphasising james (a made up character) is confused and does not know what to take seriously as he does not know what is actually what. This means the theme could be confusion. As metaphors don't really mean what they imply. If a said Sarah was a couch potato, it doesn't mean she's a couch potato, she's just lazy. Using many Litarery devises can be halful to, for example, emphasise the theme. I hope I could have been if some help.
