Answer:

Once upon a time, there were two brothers named Mark and John, they lived in New York City. One day they went to eat in a restaurant with their Uncle, James. Uncle James was a leader of soldiers, who wanted to discover the Island of Death and see what was on it.

Uncle James wanted to explore "The Death Island" because a lot of people were saying that this Island is was like the Bermuda Triangle and WORSE because it can bring you to your death bed. He thought that he could defeat the fear of this island and find the treasure that was hidden inside the heart of the island. Many people attempted going to the island but they all disappeared. Uncle James wanted John and Mark to go with him to discover the island because he liked the determination that Mark and John had. He went to Mark and John and asked them if they could go with him for $1,000,000.

After he offered them the money, they went to their mother, Sofia. They told her "Uncle James told us to go with him to the Island of Death and we'll get $1,000,000" but she advised them not to. But they didn’t listen to what their mum told them to do. She told them not to go because they would risk their lives of money.

After that, they went to Uncle James and they told him "yes we agree". This was the worst answer ever because they would endanger their lives, after all. They prepared their stuff for the journey and packed weapons with them. After that, they went to the plane to start the journey to the island.

There they saw a enormous monster with five eyes and four hands. This monster broke their plane and the soldier's planes too. After that, they all ran to escape from the monster. However, they were going ways they didn't even know and they didn't realize what was happening. After they calmed down and relaxed for a moment, they walk through the jungle to explore the Island they landed on.

Then, they saw a huge spider. After the huge spider ate 5 soldiers, and left them only 11, Mark defeated killed the spider with a rifle. After that, they founded a boat, so they took the boat and went out of the Island.

But then, they had very bad luck because there was a huge Octopus in the lake. He ate all the soldiers, and James and John. But the one who had a very good luck was Mark because Octopus didn’t eat him. Mark went home and was very sad because his brother had died. He told his mom and his mom was very sad and furious, because they didn’t listen to what she told them.

After these things happened and all the people heard about it, they made a big fence, so no one can go or pass into the Island.

Lesechka [4]

In chapter 3 of All Quiet on the Western Front, Paul and his friends develop comradeship and suddenly feel like seasoned veterans as a bunch of fresh recruits shows up to support the shattered firm. Paul gives a thorough introduction to the cunning Katczinsky, who hunts down supplies and food in a war zone as if he were born to do it.

Briefly write about 'All Quiet on the Western Front'.

Based on the well-known bestseller of the same name by Erich Maria Remarque, the movie was directed by Edward Berger. All Quiet on the Western Front tells the gripping story of a young German soldier serving on the Western Front during World War I.

Paul and his pals witness firsthand how the initial thrill of combat turns into desperation and fear as they fight for their lives and the lives of one another in the trenches. In order for All Quiet on the Western Front's accusation to be effective, it must also call attention to the dehumanizing impersonality that permeates the entire war machine. He and his pals reflect on war, how it affects the men who wage it, and how it has affected them.

Answer:

"I’ve got a man in England who buys me clothes. He sends over a selection of things at the beginning of each season, spring and fall.’

He took out a pile of shirts and began throwing them, one by one before us, shirts of sheer linen and thick silk and fine flannel which lost their folds as they fell and covered the table in many-colored disarray. While we admired he brought more and the soft rich heap mounted higher—shirts with stripes and scrolls and plaids in coral and apple-green and lavender and faint orange with monograms of Indian blue.

Suddenly with a strained sound, Daisy bent her head into the shirts and began to cry stormily.

“They're such beautiful shirts," she sobbed, her voice muffled in the thick folds. "It makes me sad because I've never seen such—such beautiful shirts before."

These sentences, spoken by Daisy to Gatsby reveal what about her character?

Question 10 options:

Daisy is very much in love with Gatsby and overwhelmed by her emotions for him even though she is technically speaking about the shirts.

Daisy is be sarcastic because she believes the shirts are actually ugly and low-grade, thus showing her to be uptight.

‘You always look so cool,’ she repeated.

She had told him that she loved him, and Tom Buchanan saw. He was astounded. His mouth opened a little and he looked at Gatsby and then back at Daisy as if he had just recognized her as someone he knew a long time ago.

Question 11 options:

Tom realizes that he wore the wrong clothes for the day, and that is why he is hot and not cool like Gatsby.

Question 13 (5 points)

Question 14 (5 points)

When Nick runs into Tom at the end of the novel, what does the reader learn? Refer to the following passage:

‘Tom,’ I inquired, ‘what did you say to Wilson that afternoon?’

He stared at me without a word and I knew I had guessed right about those missing hours. I started to turn away but he took a step after me and grabbed my arm. ‘I told him the truth,’ he said. ‘He came to the door while we were getting ready to leave and when I sent down word that we weren’t in, he tried to force his way upstairs. He was crazy enough to kill me if I hadn’t told him who owned the car. His hand was on a revolver in his pocket every minute he was in the house——’ He broke off defiantly. ‘What if I did tell him? That fellow had it coming to him. He threw dust into your eyes just like he did in Daisy’s but he was a tough one. He ran over Myrtle like you’d run over a dog and never even stopped his car.’

There was nothing I could say, except the one unutterable fact that it wasn’t true.

Question 14 options:

The reader learns that Daisy confessed to driving the car that killed Myrtle.
