A subject complement is the noun, pronoun or adjective, following linking verb.

True linking verbs are the following verbs- be, become and seem. These three verbs are linking verbs always.

Also, there are several verbs which can be action or linking-feel, appear, remain, taste, turn etc.

Therefore, a sentence which contains a subject complement is,

C. Our city's most pressing problem today is traffic.

Herein, 'is' is the linking verb of the form 'be' and 'traffic' is the subject complement as it describes what the problem is. Also, the linking verb 'is' makes it easier to identify.

What are examples from the play Macbeth about regret and satisfaction. Also how does this influence an individual’s action. Pls
katovenus [111]

Answer:

Macbeth shows considerable remorse and guilt after murdering King Duncan. His first expression of remorse occurs in a soliloquy right after the King's body is discovered by Macduff. Macbeth had hoped to be in his chambers with his wife when the body was discovered.

Blood is used as a symbol of guilt throughout the play, as well as an indirect comparison or a metaphor. Guilt haunts Macbeth, both as a ghost that he sees, as well as the heaviness on his conscious. Lady Macbeth's guilt causes her to sleepwalk and be haunted by Duncan's blood that she cannot 'clean' her hands of.
