  1. Answer: Sometimes. All we need to know is if one pair of sides are the same length between the triangles, and that is enough info to know if triangle ABC = triangle DEF. We don't have any such info, so we just say "sometimes" to account for this situation.
  2. Answer: 60 degrees. Angle B = angle E, and we're told that B = 60, so E must be 60 as well for the two angles to be congruent.
  3. Answer: Always. Equilateral triangles have the same angle measure (60 degrees each). Any two triangles with corresponding congruent angles are similar triangles.

The formula for the area of a triangle is , where b is the length of the base and h is the height. Find the height of a triangle
Alexandra [31]
The area of a triangle is A= 1/2bh. Plugging in the values you know, 30= 1/2*12*h.

Solving for h,

30= 1/2*12*h

30= 6h

h=5

The height of the triangle is 5 units.

Answer:

a) H0 : P = 0.07

   Ha : P ≠ 0.07

b) p -value = 0.1770

Step-by-step explanation:

P = 7% = 0.07

x (result ) = 7 , n = 163

p = x / n = 7 / 163 = 0.043

<u>a) Using a significance level ( ∝ ) of 0.05, estimate the appropriate hypothesis</u>

H0 : P = 0.07

Ha : P ≠ 0.07

conduct a  Z- test statistic

Z = ( p - P ) / \sqrt{\frac{P(1-P)}{n} }

  = ( 0.043 - 0.07 ) / \sqrt{\frac{P(1-P)}{n} }  =  - 1.35

Critical value ( Z₀.₀₂₅ ) = ± 1.96

<em>we fail to reject H0 given that | z | < Zcritical because there is not enough evidence to conclude that proportion change</em>

<u>b) Determine the p-value of the test </u>

P-value = P ( | Z | > Z )

             = 2 * P ( Z < -1.35 )

             = 0.1770

The p-value ( 0.1770 ) > ∝ ( 0.05 ) hence we fail to reject H0 ( i.e. the conclusion agrees with part a above )

Matt has answered 20 over 25 of the questions on a test. what percentage of the test question has Matt answered
lyudmila [28]
So,

Matt answered 20 out of 25 questions.
\frac{20}{25}

We need to get the denominator to be 100.  We can do that by multiplying the fraction by a form of 1.
\frac{20}{25} *  \frac{4}{4} =  \frac{80}{100}

From here, it should be easy to see that Matt has answered 80% of his test.
