Answer: Disease, a harsh winter, and lack of food.

Explanation:

Soldiers at Valley Forge faced terrible conditions. In addition to the cold and wet weather, worsened by the lack of warm clothes, food was extremely scarce so they had to endure hunger. Furthermore, the cold and packed shelters allowed diseases such as typhoid fever, pneumonia, and smallpox to spread fast, taking the lives of many of them.

Valley Forge was a very hard time for the soldiers. They were faced with illness, a lack of food and other supplies, an outbreak of small pox, and the snow and ice of winter. Many soldiers died of disease, coldness and starvation. I hope that helped you!

This was the Great Charter of English liberty granted (under considerable duress) by King John at Runnymede on June 15, 1215.
otez555 [7]

The Magna Carta Libertatum (the Great Charter of the Liberties) was a charter of rights agreed to by King George of England in June 15, 1215.

It was first drafted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, and it promised the protection of church rights, protection from illegal imprisonment for the barons, access to justice and limitations on payments to the Crown. The charter was later annulled by by Pope Innocent III. After John's death, the document was reissued in 1216 somewhat altered. Finally, in 1297, the Magna Carta was confirmed as part of England's statute law.

The Magna Carta has been influential in the development of law systems all over the world, especially those of the Commonwealth.

Which of these issues was addressed by the Carter administration?
podryga [215]

Answer:

Welfare reform

Explanation:

In his campaign, Jimmy Carter had frequently asserted, ""If I'm elected president, you're going to have welfare reform next year." He promised to replace the problems of the existing system with one that would encourage work and family life, and that would "reflect both the competence and compassion of the American people." In August, 1977, President Jimmy Carter announced his proposals for reforming the welfare system in the United States.

However, President Carter's plan did not win support in Congress, and in fact never received a vote in Congress.

So welfare reform most definitely was a key issue for the Carter administration and addressed by his administration, but his reform plans were not enacted into law.

Note: The same thing could also be said about tax reform. The Carter administration proposed tax reform legislation which also was rejected by Congress.
