The Harlem Renaissance took place at a time when European and white American writers and artists were particularly interested in African American artistic production, in part because of their interest in the “primitive.”Modernist primitivism was a multifaceted phenomenon partly inspired by Freudian psychology, but it tended to extol so-called “primitive” peoples as enjoying a more direct and authentic relationship to the natural world and to simple human feeling than so-called “over-civilized” whites. They therefore were presumed by some to hold the key to the renovation of the arts. Early in the twentieth century, European avant-garde artists including Pablo Picasso (1881–1974) had been inspired in part by African masks to break from earlier representational styles toward abstraction in painting and sculpture. The prestige of these revolutionary experiments caused African American intellectuals to look on African artistic traditions with new appreciation and to imagine new forms of self-representation, a desire reinforced by rising interest in black history. Black History Week, now Black History Month, was first celebrated in 1928 at the instigation of the historian Carter G. Woodson (1875–1950).

In regard to regulating companies, Roosevelt wanted them to serve
tia_tia [17]

Answer:

The public in the best way possible

Explanation:

During the early 1900's, investigative journalists or "muckrakers" showed the nation how little corporations cared for hygiene and safety. Upton Sinclair, the muckraker who exposed the disgusting conditions of the meat packing industry had a profound effect on President Roosevelt. Sinclair's book, The Jungle, highlighted how meat was routinely grinded up with rats, contaminated meat, rat poison, and other factory contaminants. This caused Roosevelt to establish the Meat Inspection Act & Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906. Both of these acts were aimed at setting standards for companies to set a national standard for all consumer goods.

What was one outcome of the georgia legislature’s refusal to seat henry mcneal turner?
Yuki888 [10]

Henry McNeal Turner's reluctance to take a seat in the Georgia legislature had only one outcome: It conveyed a message that, despite their right to vote, African Americans were not allowed to occupy the elected office. As a result, choice C is the right response.

In 1868, Turner was chosen to be a representative in the Georgia state legislature. 24 parliamentarians, including him, were soon expelled for the "crime" of being Black. Turner was the first African-American chaplain in the United States Colored Troops during the American Civil War after being chosen by the US Army in 1863.

After the war, he was appointed to Georgia's Freedmen's Bureau. He moved to Macon during the Reconstruction era, and in 1868 he was appointed to the state legislature.

He started two journals, The Voice of Missions (1893–1900) and the Voice of the People, to promote immigration (1901–1904). Between 1895 and 1896, Turner organized two ship trips that carried over 500 people to Liberia.

Complete question:
