Dmitriy789 [7]

Answer:

d It stopped the German military advance to the East.

Explanation:

The Battle of Stalingrad was a major battle in World War II. It involves the German army and its allies against the Soviet Union Army.

It was fought in September 1942, at which the German army lost about a quarter of their total army in the battle. And still could not take over the territory.

This led to the German Army unable to contain the invasion of Soviet Union soldiers when they advanced to the German territory.

Hence, the Battle of Stalingrad was considered a turning point of World War II because "It stopped the German military advance to the East."

Which reason best highlights why amendments to the Social Security Act (SSA) were made?
Elza [17]
The biggest reason behind changes to the Social Security Act (in 1939) was to make sure this program helped more people in American society. One of the amendments made to the Social Security Act was the implementation of survivor benefits. If a person was to die unexpectedly and had paid into the system, family members would be able to receive the money owed to that person who passed away unexpectedly.

Besides survivor benefits, retired workers collecting Social Security could set up a payment system where their children or spouse received money as well. All of these changes lead to Social Security having a more positive affect on the American family as a whole.

Based on Morrison's version of the Hindenburg disaster, it can be said that his version of the event matches what is in the video for the most part. The only difference is the number of people on board.

Who was Herbert Morrison?

He was a reporter that covered the arrival of the Hindenburg to New Jersey and so was there when it caught flames and crashed to the ground, killing 35 people.

Morrison's version of the event were accurate because he saw it happen before his eyes. From the rain to the Hindenburg catching flames and then crashing after falling on its mooring mast.

The only difference is that Morrison thought the number of people on board were 106 when in fact they were 97 people.

Which two women were associated with the National Woman’s Suffrage Association?
Alina [70]

Answer:

Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony

Explanation:

Formed in 1890, NAWSA was the result of a merger between two rival factions--the National Woman Suffrage Association (NWSA) led by Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony, and the American Woman Suffrage Association (AWSA). These opposing groups were organized in the late 1860s, partly as the result of a disagreement over strategy. NWSA favored women's enfranchisement through a federal constitutional amendment, while AWSA believed success could be more easily achieved through state-by-state campaigns. NAWSA combined both of these techniques, securing the passage of the Nineteenth Amendment in 1920 through a series of well-orchestrated state campaigns under the dynamic direction of Carrie Chapman Catt. With NAWSA's primary goal of women's enfranchisement now a reality, the organization was transformed into the League of Women Voters.
