Answer:

The correct answer will be options-

1. plant mass related to H₂O

2.conclusions partly correct.

Explanation:

Jan Baptist van Helmont was a physician, physiologist and chemist who is known for his experiments on plants.

He performed the experiments by placing a 5-pound willow plant in a pot with 90 kg of soil. He added no nutrients to the pot for the next five years except water and found that tree weighed about 169 pounds with the almost the same amount of soil in the pot. On the basis of this, he concluded that plants mass increased because of water only but he was not aware of the photosynthesis in which carbon is utilized from the air. So, his results were partly corrected.

Thus, the selected options are the correct answer.

How do cells know that there is something wrong with the DNA?
sveta [45]
The short answer is that cells respond to the chemical environment in which they find themselves. The cells around them, the specific conditions, and feedback from the environment all create specific chemical cues that inform the cells to which genes should be expressed, and in what amounts. Chemicals include hormones, cytokines, general signaling molecules, such as cAMP, etc.

i literally hopped on google for this, lol.
i hope this helps though. :)

10. Which of the following statements best describes the major difference between anaphase of mitosis and anaphase I of meiosis?
umka2103 [35]
The answer will be A because mitosis usually separate the sister chromatids to sister chromosomes to form two diploid cells. In meiosis, the goal is to have four haploid cells. To form that, cells need to undergo cell division two times. In the case of meiosis I, sister chromatids stay joined together until it reaches meiosis II. Then, the sister chromatids will separate starting at anaphase II in meiosis II. For example, if you start with 92 chromosomes (46 chromatids) during meiosis I, at meiosis II you will have two cells with 46 chromosomes (23 chromatids). By the end of meiosis II, you should form 4 haploid cells that contains 23 chromosomes.
