Say =8

then (8/2)-4=0

say x=100

then (100/2)-4=46

(x \div 2) - 4 =  x = \infty

I'm fairly certain that X = infinite numbers...there is no wrong answer??

Joe has a bag of marbles. There are 2 purple, 1 red, and 3 green marbles in the bag. Joe selects a marble, does not replace it b
STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:

1/10

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 6 marbles in the bag. 3 out of 6 are green.

3/6 = 1/2

So, he has a 1/2 of picking a green marble.

After getting a green marble, Joe doesn’t replace it meaning there are now only 5 marbles in the bag.

Since there’s one red marble in the bag the chance of trying one is 1/5.

Now to find the chance or drawing a green and red marble you need to do the equation:

1/2 x 1/5

This equals 1/10.

The probability is 1/10

a company manufactures rectangular cardboard boxes. each box is 20 inches long and 15 inches wide. the heights of the boxes rang
Bogdan [553]

The range of possible values for the volume of the boxes would be 1200 - 1800 cubic inches

The dimensions of the rectangular cardboard boxes are given as

Case I

Length = 20 inches

breadth = 15 inches

Height = 4 inches

Volume of the rectangular cardboard box in case I = Length x breadth x breadth

= 20 x 15 x 4

= 1200 cubic inches

Similarly,

Case II

Length = 20 inches

breadth = 15 inches

Height = 6 inches

Volume of the rectangular cardboard box in case I = Length x breadth x breadth

= 20 x 15 x 6

= 1800 cubic inches

Step-by-step explanation:

The only difference in the two shapes is the locations. One shape is located in the 4th (-x, +y) quadrant, while the other shape is located in the 2nd quadrant (+x, -y)

They two shapes are the same size with the same area, so they are both congruent.
