What are better choices for him when eating out? His best choice of restaurants when he has no option but to eat out are the restaurants that manage healthy food, that have a salads options menu, they are not necessarily light or non-fulled, some of them mix their salads whith a lot of good flavour ingredients.

How can he lower his sodium intake while relying on "something easy" when he prepares fod at home? Hecan always choose eegs without the bud, cooked vegetables, which are really easy to prepare, and any dish that he likes just without adding extra salt.

2) Knowing that potassium may help blunt the effect of a high-sodium intake on blood pressure, what foods would you recommend he add to his diet that would increase his potassium intake?

The bananas are a great potassium source, he can have them as snacks, also the orange and the melons.

3) In overweight people, weight loss helps lower high blood pressure. Bill is "a little heavey". What changes/substitutions could help him lose weight?

First of all, the alimentation. There is known that at least 70% of weight loss is mainly about the food and only 30% the exercise. So, making a change in that aspect would really repercuse on Bill´s weight.

He can change his snacks for some healthier such as fruits, reduce his out-eating meals, try to eat some more vegetables. And also, add some exercise, even if its half hour a day of walking, it really would make the difference.

Later in embryonic life, the liver becomes the most important red blood cell-forming organ, but it is soon succeeded by the bone marrow, which in adult life is the only source of both red blood cells and the granulocytes. Their job is to transport oxygen to the body's tissues in exchange for carbon dioxide, which is carried to and eliminated by the lungs. Red blood cells are formed in the red bone marrow of bones. Stem cells in the red bone marrow called hemocytoblasts give rise to all of the formed elements in blood. Erythroid (red blood) cells are the first cell type to be specified in the postimplantation mammalian embryo and serve highly specialized, essential functions throughout gestation and postnatal life. The existence of 2 developmentally and morphologically distinct erythroid lineages, primitive (embryonic) and definitive (adult), was described for the mammalian embryo more than a century ago. Cells of the primitive erythroid lineage support the transition from rapidly growing embryo to fetus, whereas definitive erythrocytes function during the transition from fetal life to birth and continue to be crucial for a variety of normal physiologic processes. Over the past few years, it has become apparent that the ontogeny and maturation of these lineages are more complex than previously appreciated. In this review, we highlight some common and distinguishing features of the red blood cell lineages and summarize advances in our understanding of how these cells develop and differentiate throughout mammalian ontogeny.
