Conflicts can be destructive because they can break up people if they have an argument or they can even cause wars if they are large scale conflicts. They can be constructive if both sides actively work on solving problems so a conflict can help people solve an issue between them and build better relations.
Because almost all the characters are in conflict with the sheriff of Nottingham, they all grow closer together. Robin Hood is forced to live in the forest with the other foresters. They stop being enemies and form a band of merry men instead. As a group, they decide to help others who are also in conflict with the sheriff and his laws.
Hermes guided travelers and led the souls of the dead down to Hades (the underworld). His wand could also provide wealth by turning everything it touched into gold.
